On Wednesday, November 4, 2009, we will have a scheduled downtime from 4:00am to 8:00am EST.

This downtime affects all users of the department\’s computing and networking infrastructure.

Scheduled work includes:

• Upgrading firmware on our core switch
• Rebooting remote switches (CITP and 221 Nassau)
• Performing an audit of used/unused power circuits in room 218

Note: this was originally scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2009.

We will have brief downtime of the CVS service to move the server hardware within the machine room.

The downtime window is Monday, October 26, 2009, from 9:00am to 9:30am. We expect the service to be down for less than 10 minutes within this window.
